Weekend with Family

This weekend, Jen and I managed to make a plan to spend Saturday together in Richmond at King's Dominion. We have Season's Passes that have only been used two times. Mostly, thanks to Matt's job and only having Sunday's off every week. Matt took off yesterday and will be making up the manadory overtime hours throughout this week (while I pray Asher falls asleep at a normal time). It was so, so good to see family. We are the only family each other has within 400 miles. It is a 6-7 hour drive, but we are SO GRATEFUL that Jen and Michael and Taylor came up. Next visit, we will go down there.

I did not get a ton of photos, although I did take my camera to King's Dominion, because I have hurt my shoulder and carrying and lifting the camera is pretty rough on me.

We left right around 7 pm, because the park was starting to transform into a pret.ty creepy Halloween park. If we did not have precious, innocent toddlers, we would have really loved it, but as it was, we were pretty quick to get the littles outta there. Next fall, Matt and I will take Asher and Taylor to a hotel or Chuck E Cheese and let Val, Jen and Mike have an awesome creepy experience. Matt and I are both sort of over all that and honestly, I really just love spending time with Matt watching Asher and Taylor play.


Afterward, we had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory- I think if I go again, I will get the Fried Macaroni and Cheese appetizer as a meal. I had some with my cheeseburger and I can't stop thinking about it today. It was such a nice time!

Taylor and Asher really loved playing together so much and it was nice for Mike and MAtt and Jenn and I to hang out too. Poor Valerie was a little like the third wheel, but next time, hopefully she can bring a friend with a Season's Pass too.
