Asher Graduates from Pre-School

Last year at this time, I did not even think Asher would be in preschool in the fall, but I decided to put him in Morning With My Friends a week after it started. I am so glad I did. Asher has learned his alphabet, how to spell some words, he is learning to write his way- he DEFINITELY can write A's very well. It was in MWMF that I learned about the Virginia rule of "5 by Sept 30" rule. Once I realized that, I had to decide if Asher will be going to kindergarten in the fall. I have decided he will be. He has so many behavioral things that I have been told, a kindergarten teacher will be able to help us with. He is truly the sweetest, kindest boy, but he CAN NOT (literally, CANT!) stay still. He is in constant motion- constant wonder- constant curiosity... It is pretty exhausting. Even if he goes to kindergarten for two years, I think we need some help giving Asher the kinds of learning opportunities he needs. These are some photos of the day. Asher was part of a singing program that was just really wonderful. The kids learned so many songs this year! I have been getting to hear them at home all year long.
