Tonight was Young Women in Excellence, this is the third one (ever) I have gone to. I really feel such love for all the girls when I go to these. The projects and dedication are just so overwhelming. Valerie's project is on "Good Works." She and I are working on a Bone Marrow Drive for patients of leukemia.
I think Valerie's BFF Alexis did the best job, she had a great talk prepared and told how her "Virtue" project took 120 hours and 25 minutes, but even still, it took 5 months less than she had set as her goal. It was just awesome.
Once we got home, we wrapped presents going to some kiddos whose parents are having a hard time. Valerie is donating her Nintendo DS and all the games, and an iPod with new earphones and charger. I am also donating 2 coats of Asher's that he can part with. There is something good about being able to give after having to receive for so long.
