Christmas Eve 2010

First, I have a cold :-( I got up late.

After puttering around for a while, I made more fudge and it actually worked this time, so I felt compelled to take some to Bria.  That is because I gave her some for Christmas yesterday that was not fudge-like at all.  Soooooooo, we drove to Charlottesville to give Bria fudge.  It was a great thing!

Then we went to the UVa lawn where Asher was totally enamored and happy to be running free, even if it IS freezing cold outside.

Next, we drove home and stopped on the way, in Staunton and looked again at the lights around the park because Asher missed them Wednesday (he was asleep).  He was just positively mesmerized.

After that, I delivered fudge to my ladies I visit teach, then played a little Reindeer game delivering gifts to a family in town (that was way fun, Valerie and I totally rocked the covert operation) and the lady Valerie has been making gifts for, then we commenced wrapping presents for Asher.  It was a lovely day that threatened to make me cry early on.  I think the key was getting the heck out of Dodge and focusing on other people.  That makes all the difference.
