It sure has felt like summer this week. VERY HOT. VERY HUMID. Thunderstorm every day. The humidity has lessened for 2 days, and I really do like being outside in the evenings when I am not wearing the weather. It has been a very good week.
Asher was part of VBS for the first time ever. I loved it growing up, so did Valerie, until we joined the LDS church when she was 8. Asher loved it as well. It was a definite highlight every day. The theme was
"Kingdom Rock" and focused on stories of the Bible. He has been singing the "stand together" song (complete with actions) all week. I am so happy he has been involved. They worked VERY hard, and he has had lots to say about every day. He also got to do a science experiment every day as well.

| I got to see Toria this week. |
Asher, Valerie and I just kept busy this week doing normal things. As hot as it was, we were unable to go to the pool, but oh well. We still had a good week.
Asher went to work with me every day this week. I know he loves it. I get a little stressed taking him, I admit. Valerie came with me Friday and watched him while I took care of some really important things, and I am so grateful.
After that, the three of us went to Luray Caverns. It was free day with the reading program. Asher ABSOLUTELY loved it. We were 100 feet underground for an hour and he was so good, so brave, so curious and so engaged. He LOVED it. I have been wanting to take him, but normally, it is VERY expensive. This was a major blessing for us to be able to go. YAY for the summer reading program. I will say though, they are beautifully-maintained caverns.

After our subterrainian explorations, I took some photos of Asher and Valerie in front of the cavern parking area.

Look at this spot I found today. I am totally doing my next photo session there. I have already contacted the person, and asked them if it was ok to move it to a new location, and she said yes. It is incredible.

We also took Asher to the local farm so he could see
butterflies and cute animals. We are really lucky that it is so close.
He loves visiting there.
It was a good week!
Next week, summer job #3 starts- Freshmen Advising. This is somehing I LOVE, I just get anxious with any change and this summer, Asher is going to be watched by Valerie and Candra. I am praying that it goes well. As an adult, the most stressful situations are worrying about the safety and well-being of my children.
