Not much going on here- I continue to hang out with Asher during the day, and I get to take him with me to work and/or go in the evenings.  It keeps me pretty tired, but Asher and I are enjoying our summer.  He really seems to like me home with him.  I try to keep him busy with doing stuff, and I have only turned on the TV one time- after I took him to the pool for a couple hours, and he took his first nap in... years?

I am loving these lilies.  It took FOREVER for them to bloom, but every morning, I come out to 1 or 2 new ones in bloom.  They are giant and so beautiful.

After 4 years, this hydrangea (from the old house, and 2 spots here) is finally doing well.  I really love hydrangeas and whatever the pH of the soil is here, it sure does make for a pretty hydrangea.
This is Asher's garden.  I know what the garlic and what the corn looks like, but I really don't know what is what in there.  I am definitely no plant biologist.

Misha still begs for all people food and only eats her dog food when she realizes that is her only choice.  Sigh.

There are larvae in Asher's water table.  At first, I thought they were amphibian, but I worry that they are mosquitos.  I haven't gotten up close and personal with them.  I hate to do it, but I think I need to dump them out.

Asher has been participating the the county Reading Program.  This week, we went to the Luray Zoo as part of their "Free Friday" event.  It was interesting.  There are some really cute animals there.  It is a very, very small zoo though.

Asher and I watched this reptile show- The owner told us all the reasons he loves snakes and Asher whispered loudly "I LIKE snakes now!"  " I want to HOLD that one."  He did not hold it, however, thank goodness.  I am not a fan of snakes or spiders.

Asher peeking through the mommy kangaroo spot.  He was just barely too short.  He is definitely growing up!
