Blasting Off a New Routine

Matt started his job this week.  Typically, he is the one who takes Valerie to school, and I go into work first thing in the morning.  Now, I am up with Valerie, then Asher, I take Valerie to school, bring Asher home, get him breakfast, go outside to play- while I pull weeds, walk Misha, etc., come in, where I clean, then I make him lunch, and take him to a sitter and rush in to barely make my office hours on time, THEN I teach, THEN come home, do dinner, photo editing, go to bed, repeat.

The thing that has been really rough on me this week is not being able to get things graded, written, compiled, copied, etc before work.  I have to do it late at night, and that is exhausting, but we are making it work.

I was really worried about Asher transitioning, but I need to give him more credit.  He is much, much more "go with the flow" than I realized.  He is doing great, and we have had a really wonderful week together.  We do a lot and get a lot done.  The house is sparkling- inside and out- and he is entertained.  It is not bad at all.

My class ends next week (which is INSANE).  What a wonderful, talented group of students.  I am so proud of every one of them.  Cell and Molec in 4 weeks is no joke.  They are in lecture from 9-12, have a break, then are BACK in lab with me 1-4 every day.  They have lecture homework every day, lab homework every day, and an exam on Fridays.  What a schedule, but... they are really and truly ALMOST DONE now.

Valerie is ending this insane year- that was SO DANG HARD on her with all A's and 20 pounds lighter.  She has a wonderful job, a boy (whom I like) who likes her, friends who love and support her, and she is happy.  PRAISE. GOD.

Asher is excited every day about kindergarten in the fall.  I tease him that I will cry when he gets on the bus (and I will, I am sure), and that I will drive him to school instead.  He is adamant that he will ride the bus to school, but that he still loves me.  LOL!

Also, I have HOPEFULLY exciting news regarding life and stuff soon.  We shall see.  If you are a praying type, pray for me.  If you are a "putting out in the universe what you want back" join me in putting good, good, GOOD things out there.  I need a shift in my life in a big way.  If this thing I have been working on shifts in the right way, my entire everything could very well shift in the right way too.  I ask for your thoughts and prayers.

And with that...

BLAST-OFF!
