| Last night, the sunset was incredible. Cloudy evenings always add such interest to the sunset. |

| This is Asher (who is 2) in in Sunday outfit (which is a size 5). |
 |
| Awww, he's so cute. |
 |
| Look at those curls and big blue eyes |

| I say to everyone who comments how cute he is that it is a good thing, because he can be so naughty! The last 4 days have pretty much been the worst-ever too. I think it is because I am gone a LOT more than I have been with summer job II than I was with summer job I and he is at a new baby-sitter (his just had an 11 pound baby), but still. He has been REALLY DIFFICULT. His favorite response to redirection is to head-butt either Matt or I in the nose as hard as he can. But BOY, is he cute. |

| Job II is meeting, individually with my 55 new freshman advisees over the course of 4 weeks. I am starting week 2 tomorrow. I LOVE this job, it is a lot of work, but it is exactly perfect for the kind of person that I am. I am a nurturer, encourager, builder-upper... So far, my students really have responded well. This week, I am going to focus our 1.5 hour group meeting on THEM at the beginning. I realized driving home Friday night that I would bet they want to talk and be excited out loud and not talked-at so much. I also think I will purposely come into the room after they are all there so they will start talking to each other. I have been there 15 minutes early every day and they do not talk at ALL. Friday, I ran up to my office and came back in and they were all talking to each other and that was much better. |

I met my first helicopter parent. Who was really pressuring her child. That was not cool. Not cool at all.
My days are very tiring. I get up in the morning, go to work, meet with student-after-student with not even one minute between the two and register them for their classes, take the completed folders down campus, walk to my car (it has been HOT), drive to go get Asher. When I am still, I feel the tiredness from my busy day. Then I get Asher. Who is really high-maintenance, and has been not-so-nice lately. I run after him and am his everything- entertainer, try-to-feeder, diaper-changer, play-mate... till 11:30 when Matt gets home. With the super-special antics of the last week, I have been reduced to tears 2 times, I sure hope this stage of toddler-hood goes away quickly. Asher had been so absolutely sweet for the last two weeks too...

Great photos of the Sunset (wow!) and the Son. He'll outgrow this phase, but don't hold your breath.
