This week, I was packing for the new building, helping others, trying to get reports finished (did not succeed), trying to edit the lab manual for Genetics (success), trying to nail down final details about teaching this summer, etc etc etc.
Tuesday, I took pictures of Laura.
It was right after a rain storm, and to keep Asher entertained, I showed Matt how to sprinkle residual water from the tree at Laura's on him:

This is my favorite picture I took of Laura:

So, back to work. I am part of a select crew of really cool people who are helping organize the move and help out, in general. I had left at 2 on Friday to get some tests done in Charlottesville. I came back to work with the intention of taking care of something that I hadn't because I misunderstood what was being asked of me. When I got there, it was very obvious that there was a faculty who was just exhausted and needed help. So... I helped, of course. I got home pretty late, and then just felt so exhausted, I fell asleep pretty early.
Saturday, I had planned to go to the Farmer's Market, but when I was in the shower, Matt went and just left me a note :-( I was sad because I love the Farmer's Market. So... I did not get dressed till 4, when it was time to get ready for taking prom pictures. I spent 3 hours taking them, and about 8 editing. They are so lovely. The sun was a little high, but it just added such a fairy-tale glow to the kids, so we went with it.
It was such a fun shoot because everyone was so nice and you could just tell- they wanted good pictures.

| I saw M in her dress and had a vision for a photo- in fact, I had THIS vision, and took her over to this spot to capture it. |

I was very uncomfortable with the "topic" he was supposed to talk about (it was a memorized sentence my three year old has no concept of), so I gave him his picture of Jesus from his room and told him to talk about Jesus.
He didn't, Asher talked about his love for toys, but he did close it in the name of Jesus Christ, amen... I was laughing so hard, there were tears down my face.
