So much to do!

It was a busy week and a super-busy Saturday. We are in full-on packing mode at work, and I can honestly say, aside from one box in my office, I am totally done, which makes me happy... the actual moving and unpacking, though... ugh. It is not as bad as packing, however. That is what my week has consisted of. Today, we went to 4 different towns looking at Big Lots for makeup. I went to a Big Lots here yesterday, and spotted this:

I thought "wow that looks like Philosophy makeup" and then thought it was little inspirational plaques for Mother's Day, and I walked by.  When I was leaving though, standing at the register, I realized it WAS Philosophy makeup- for $2!!

So I got

$167 in makeup for $12

Well, I got home last night and realized there were some things I saw that I passed up that would be super AND I thought I had bought a purple eyeshadow palette- because I opened one, but apparently there are thee color palettes in the exact same packaging, so I was on a quest for that baby today.

I went to the Staunton Big Lots, while Asher and Matt hung out and played at the awesome Gypsy Hill park, then to Port Republic to give some baby things to amazing Laura, then back to Staunton, then Charlottesville, Waynesboro and BACK to the Big Lots here in Harrisonburg (they were the only ones with that adorable brush.  Why? Well, the purple palette, and to pick up awesomeness for my friend, Katy.  She looked really interested in this stuff last night on my Facebook, and I had already started putting a Mother's Day basket together for her.  So...

I found...
The purple palette, a brown one, blush and 2 types of foundation, plus a pink palette and duplicates in everything for Katy, even the brush above.  That was a lot of fun (though quite tiresome).

In Charlottesville, I stopped at the Fire Department so Asher could see this bell- which he LOVED.  He LOVES LOVES LOVES bells.

This is him clapping that he gets to meet "BIG BEN! WHERE DA CWOCK??"

Really neat plaque

Totally happy boy.
Inside, the (closed) fire station, was another bell, and Asher saw it and tried to go in.  The doors were locked, of course, and we continued looking at the outdoors one when the fire chief opened the door.  I was so embarrassed and explained, "I am sorry- he loves bells and fire trucks."

The fire chief looked at Asher and said "well... would he like to see a real fire truck!?"

"SURE!"

So he opened the huge garage doors and Asher was in little-boy paradise

What an awesome guy! Asher said "thank you, thank you, thank you!" when we were leaving.

At home, we tried out this baby.

BEST HOMEMADE CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM I HAVE EVER HAD (no kidding)

Then Katy and family came for a visit, which really is so nice.  We had a great week, now onto another.
