Planes and Rockets Sattelites and Space Shuttles

Last week, on Wednesday, we did what I decided we should do EVERY Wednesday: That is, do something fun as a family. Luckily, we live pretty close to Dulles, so we took Asher and two of his friends, and my friend, to the Udvar-Hazy Air and Space museum.

The kids were so happy, and the museum, thanks to all of our taxes, is totally free, and air-conditioned, and not overwhelming for a couple-hour trip.

This is right after we got there.  Asher and Aylor were very, very excited.

The kiddos just LOVED all the things hanging from the celing, and EVEN better- these were things that had gone to SPACE

There were rockets

Really amazing planes

The shuttle Discovery had just arrived a week or so before this

It is such a gigantic ship that carries, really, just a few people to space.  Even more amazing- this ship got to DC on the back of a plane.  Insanity.

This was a little before we left- Asher was truly just dazzled

As for this week, no Wednesday fun for us. I was just too darned busy this week. To be sure, I am hoping we have more Wednesday trips, because they are good for the soul, and better for the family.
