This week was a little wonky with Martin Luther King, Jr Day. Although the students did not have classes, I went to work to make sure all was well for our Genetics and Microbiology students. They have projects that need to be worked-on, despite "days off."

| Sunday, I took photos of Valerie and Asher and made a new Facebook Timeline |
 |
| Valerie came to work with me. LOOK AT HER MULTI-TASKING! |
 |
| This is a cake for one of the Grad Students that another Grad student made. She is incredible! |
 |
| I made a sugar-free pudding pie that was so, so delicious. |
 |
| I asked "how was the seminar?" and got this breakdown from my favorite grad student... |
 |
I took a student on a Barnes and Noble Scavengar Hunt. We both participated. Shown here are:
a book made into a movie that I have read
A book about a place I want to visit
A book I hated
A book that changed my life
A book I have seen the movie to, and not read

| Weekends, like MLK,Jr day are also spent partially at work, I was here a little longer than expected today, and Asher was restless, so I made use of the technology. He LOVED that. |
 |
| Why yes, I DID turn my car around, drive behind a shopping center, walk and walk and walk until I could get just the right shot of the full moon on this icy, cloudy night. |
It has been a good week. A little busy, with hopes of calming down at work. It has been absolutely freezing here. This is kind of what one would expect, being the winter. 2 weeks ago, it was 70 degrees a few days in a row, but the temperatures are way below normal, and the wind is icy. It hurts to walk in to work, because the wind is right in my face, and my eyes water the rest of the day. No worries though. It may be 10 tonight, but we will be back up to the mid-60s by Wednesday (O-o)
We are missing Valerie this weekend, it is the first weekend we have not had her in five. Ugh.
