With a little help from my friends

My friend has had a really rough couple months.  I know **exactly** how she feels, so I suggested a photo shoot.  It did us both good.
Sometimes, we just need to focus on ourselves.  It can be hard to feel like that is ok, but I say, it is essential.



I got to snuggle a little 5 pound baby and take his pictures.  He was so, so precious and sweet.  What an observant, adorable little one.

AND!! I took a group of amazing students to the USA Science and Engineering Festival in Washington DC

They were absolutely THRILLED to have met him.

This is me Monday morning (2 days ago).  I am EXHAUSTED, but wonderfully, beautifully exhausted.

IT WAS GEEK PARADISE!!

THEN Tuesday, I made the semi-annual trip to University of Mary Washington to get TEMs made of the phages that students have isolated this spring.





Very busy, but good!
