Days 1 and 2- Salt Lake City to Pocatello

We got to Salt Lake City Wednesday evening. It was a wild journey to get there, and we got there 3 hours early, with no luggage. It was all good though, we have overnight bags, and faith in Delta. Because Bri was leaving in a few days, and both Bri and Eve were free for lunch the next day, we stayed in SLC Weds night, which meant we got to explore the city. I will be honest, Salt Lake City is my favorite city on earth. There is an amazing feel there, and I was happy to explore it.
We looked at the temple- which Asher is FINALLY accepting is NOT  Disney World

We had dinner at Cheesecake Factory
We wandered the city on the way back to the condo.  Such a gorgeous city with glorious, humid-free nights

The next morning, after the luggage snafu was fixed, we explored more.  First up:  Private tour (thanks to Asher being cute!) of the Conference Center

I have never seen this painting, I absolutely love it

This was actually closed in preparation for the birthday party President Monson had, but we got to peek in anyway

Asher loved this waterfall coming from the roof

The leader pointed out that there is only room for one more bust...

From the roof looking south

There are wild flower meadows planted on the roof

A fountain where I made a big wish

And the kindest tour guide who volunteers his time every single week, with his wife

On the Temple square, we looked at amazing flowers

We walked through City Creek so Asher could play in the fountains.  I had taken his shirt off, but we got in trouble for that O-o

After a couple hours, we walked to the Gateway Mall to meet Eve and Bri for lunch

More fountains!

Warming up on the sidewalk

Our lunch friends!! I miss these girls so, so much.  We laughed, I cried, we shared, we hugged... WOW, do I miss these girls. (sorry about the photos, Eve).

Gramma came and picked us up- Asher ran out to greet her (after he greeted another lady, who, it turns out, his gramma knows)

We then drove to Pocatello where Asher did some more exploring

The first of many GORGEOUS Idaho sunsets

I love the picture. I don't care that my eyes are closed. It was so wonderful to see you again! I can't wait for the next visit!
