Things that have inspired our family this week

Matt and I were very touched by this story.  We know the power of angels on earth who do these things for others.  We had angels take care of Asher and Valerie for Christmas last year, and the year before.  It is humbling, and touching and completely awesome to feel so loved and recognized for the struggles in our lives despite really trying so hard to be independent.  We love those who help others... those who helped us.

We are so grateful to them, and will do our best to always pay those miracles forward to others.

Matt and I have been taking turns reading these.  We always read Luke 2 on the first day of December, as we put up the Nativity, and these two books are books President Monson says he reads every Christmas season, so we thought that sounded like a plan to us.

I undertook a project this week.  I made gingerbread for houses (SOOOOO delicious, but sooooo much work).  Then, meringue frosting for sticking the pieces together.... then I let Valerie and Candra make their houses, and Asher showed us ALL how it is done.

Asher's (he was NOT ABOUT to let it last until Christmas).  LOVE that roof.

ANNNND...

Meet our doggie- to be named- we are thinking of russian names, since he is a Siberian Husky.  He is a sweetie, but man, oh man, he took off out the house and ran around crazy for an hour tonight.  I hope that never, ever happens EVER again.  Note to all of us though- exit through the garage now...
