Just keep busy...

There are lots of reasons that I keep busy.  There are two main reasons, though.

1) It hurts if I sit around too long.  I have noticed this especially recently.  With all the pollen and the fluffy white things in the air, I am really not feeling great about 99% of the time, and with that, the desire to just be still.  What I notice though, is that it is harder to get up and run or even walk Mischa.  So... to avoid that, I just keep busy.  The good news is that even with a new, fairly intense workout schedule, I do not have new muscle pain.  That used to deter me, but my muscles always hurt, so I have learned to deal with it, and honestly, there is no additional pain when I work out.

2) It keeps my mind occupied and busy, which is what I like.  I feel like I am always thinking, always feeling, always considering, and I don't do that as much when I lounge around at home.  I like feeling engaged with the world around me, so... I keep busy.

This weekend was even busier than normal.  Asher and I had three parties: Valerie spent the weekend in North Carolina with her grandparents, where she got a TON of new, summer clothes. The kid is blessed by her grandparents, for sure.
Sophia turned 2

Jordan's dad brought lots of fun games to this party.  asher was THRILLED between the games and the ducks.

Korena had a bridal shower- there were other kiddos there, and again, Asher had a ball.

THEN our neighbor had his 7th birthday party and it was awesome fun too.

It really was a completely wonderful Saturday. The weather was perfect. We spend time with people we love and care about- it was just a wonderful day. Exhausting (Asher and I were both totally out by 9 pm), but it was awesome.

Sunday morning, I took a little run, cleaned up, and then did a newborn session for 5 day old Willow.  She is an absolutely perfect baby girl. SO, SO sweet.

After that, I met a family for family photos.  This session was booked a couple days ago.  It is kind of a long story how they chose me, but suffice it to say, my name is getting out there, which makes me all sorts of happy.  The session was just wonderful.  It was for three adult children and their dad- he wanted photos of his kids for Father's Day.  Two adult sons, one adult daughter and him.  This is remarkable because everyone just went with it and we got GORGEOUS shots.  Normally adult men are not the easiest to do photo sessions with, but this session was just a dream.  I kept feeling something was special about Angela.  I met her about a week ago, but there was just something about her.

After the session, she walked with me to my car and asked me if I knew what Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep was and I told her I did and that I am registered. She hugged me. She lost a child a couple years ago. I just can not even imagine. She told me she wished I had taken pictures of her baby and that she did not know such a service even existed. Sometimes, I am fully aware that taking photos makes a difference to peoples' lives. It really does. In addition to that, I am grateful my sense about people is typically right on.  She is a special one.  I am so glad I know her.

I edited photos till about midnight and now I write this.  THEN I go to work.  I just keep busy.
