He likes to play with his bath toys, but inevitably, he then turns the water and for a lovely time of splishing and splashing. It is not the HUGEST deal, but it is a(nother) mess.
Here is Asher after telling (asking?) me "more" "please" complete with signs. It always means that he wants to go in Valerie's room.
I have taught him to knock before he BUSTS into her room.
Most of the time Valerie yells, "NOOOO!!!" and it makes me slightly crazy.
Today, she actually gave him a hug before saying," Get him out and close the door!" Grrr. She has developed quite a habit of ordering me around the last couple days. I am working on that, it is hard to address in a cool, calm and collected manner though. That is for sure.
Yesterday was interesting. It was a day to match the weather we had- which was grey and overcast so much "darker" than normal. Strangely, however, it was 95 degrees and very, very humid. It was opressive, uncomfortable, and strangely not as it appeared to be as I looked out the glass door before I headed out for the morning (which turned into all afternoon as well).
I went to work, and then walked three doors down to my Bishop's (work) office and spent three hours talking with him.
When I got home, I had so many things on my mind, yet I did not say much at all.
Thank goodness for prime-time TV though. We three sat and watched Hell's Kitchen and Valerie watched some program in her room called "Pretty Little Liars." I figured Asher should dress up for our show ;-)
He humored me.
He brought me his monster slippers and kept them on for hours. He LOVES them. Last night was the first night he fell asleep before 2 am. In fact, he was asleep by 11:58pm which was good since neither Matt nor I had gotten any sleep the night before.

I love this post. You can feel the threads of strength binding you all together through this time. I love feeling through your words the renewed bond that you have as a family as you convey the normal events of a not so normal day.
