I feel like I can relax a lot more than I have been able to in the last 9 months. My youngest brother is finished with his deployment to Afghanistan. He is actually very fortunate because of his circumstance while there- he was an IT guy to the commanding officer, so relatively safe. He was also on helicopters a heckuva lot and that was nerve-wracking. Taylor was just a baby when he left, now she is 18 months and walking and talking and adorable ;-)
I feel so much better with my brother home and despite an enormous sign-on bonus (because he is in special forces) he did not reenlist, which is another relief. I am excited to see pictures of the homecoming, Jennifer hired a photographer, but for now! YIPPEE!! He is no longer away at war.
