It's the Weekend, Gonna Have me Some Fun

My, my how weekend "fun" has changed since I had Asher.  I just get through the week promising myself rest on the weekend, and since last weekend was moving in a frenzy like I have never seen before, last week was HARD.  I was exhausted beyond belief every day.  I will post pictures of the house and more rooms later this week.  Things are coming together nicely.  We all love our house.  There is a lot of room and LOT LOT LOT more cabinet/storage space and I simply threw out a BUNCH of stuff, so needless to say, it has made for a much more open, and less-cluttered feel.

Friday, Valerie officially started her spring break.  She had a friend over and they were up till 3 or 4 am and back up at 8.  Crazy kids.  Her friend is such a sweetie and it was fun having her over.  I was looking through music on my older iMac (I really need to transfer that to my new one) and Valerie made some really silly videos.  They are on her Facebook and she was being really hyper.

Saturday, her friend stayed till about 6:30, and as she left, Bria arrived.  The girls went to the mall to buy candy and frappacinos and I got these in the mail from a sweet friend who loves me.

Asher HAD to have the shoes

It was so good to see Bria.  Bria is such a sweet and dear friend to me.  I will miss her when she leaves this summer, but we plan to go to the Hill Cummorah pageant together and possibly, she will stay with us until her move in August.  We talked and talked, chased the escaping Asher around, and then picked up Indian food and came home to watch the Young Women's Broadcast.  It  was perfect and just what I needed.  I have been deliberately obstinate and it has brought nothing but upset to me.  I realized it was time to let go of the feeling that I deserved to be mad, and be humble instead.  I had decided Friday to go to church Sunday and those feelings were magnified watching the broadcast with Bria and Valerie.

Valerie will be participating in this trek over the summer.

Sunday, we woke up to

Happy Spring Break, Valerie!

Church was good, the new family who spoke is a riot.  Especially the mom.  I think we will like each other lots.

When we got home, I made an amazing Chicken Parmagiano- having an italian grandma pays off sometimes.
