Naughty Boy....

Asher still gets lots of attention wherever we go. Old ladies LOVE him, everyone loves the curls, teenagers love his pretty eyes and when he says "hiii-eeee" or ''bye-eeee" or "ppppeeeaaazzz?" or "more more" everyone thinks he is the cutest.

It is a good thing he is cute because Asher is NAAAAAUUUUGGGHHHTTTYYY.

Today started off amazingly. I woke at 6:45 then fell back asleep thinking (as always) that I would sleep until Asher wakes up, which is always early enough to get Valerie up, fed, dressed, and to school. Today... I woke up at 8 and was panicked until I went to see Asher and he was really snoozing. I decided then and there to not wake him. I told Valerie that I would take her in late and laid back down. It felt like a few minutes later, I heard Asher.

He wakes up and pushes the music button on his crib toy. It was... ELEVEN. I was all disoriented, but so so grateful.

I needed that. That was where the good behavior ended though...

Asher spent a lot of the day crying wanting to watch TV, but we don't have cable right now, then crying because it was time to eat, then because I would not let him go outside (in the pouring rain)... He climbed out of the bath three times (and peed on the floor). Then, he brought me candles saying "on!" "on!" "ppeeeezze!" so I lit one, he blew it out, I re-lit it, he blew it out... this continued till I was almost out of matches. Then I lit on and sat it on the table.

As I was replying to 300 emails about things I can not take care of in the office because I have no baby-sitter (or ability to pay one), I thought... "wow, Asher is quiet." I looked over to the couch... Where I saw a flame. Asher was holding the candle completely sideways, dribbling hot wax all over the sofa (that has been needing to be replaced for years). Sigh. I said "Asher!" and he crawled off backward and dropped the candle. It landed upright and I put it up higher.

When Valerie got home, I said "Could you watch him so I can change my clothes?!" She turned HER back and repeated the candle-snatching/dribbling on the other end of the sofa. Dear God, help me. He makes me tired.

This was also after I took him 1) off the edge of the table
2)off the top of the ladder in Valerie's room 3) off the barstool (a couple times) and out of the refrigerator.

He is so tiring. I can not do this all over again. I am here-by done with babies. Seriously. I can't. I love my guy and my girl so much, but I am exhausted and my body is weary.

This is Asher with a whoopie cushion. He asks for us to inflate it over and over again and laughs in delight when he squeezes it. The noise just sends him over the edge. All boy, I tell you.
