People donate what they can for the dinner, then we auction off desserts. We made probably a little more than we needed, which is fantastic.
There were many amazing things auctioned tonight. This was the most intricate and fantastic. A fruit boquet, made by MY girl, Katy Adams. She made one for her mother-in-law for Mother's Day that was pretty great, but THIS one was truly FANTASTIC. Honestly, it was enormous and had SO MUCH detail! Thank you, Katy! She ALSO made a candy bar bouquet... well, two actually, but one was given to me and not auctioned. How SWEET is that?!
Asher was ALL SORTS of fun during the preparations and serving of dinner ;-) I entertained him while Matt ate, then I gave them "permission" to skip out early.
We saw these- do you know what they are?
I taught my children and husband.
They were around with the dinosaurs.
The were the first trees to grow after the atomic bomb attacks on Japan.
There are male trees and female (STINKY!) trees.
We watched an amazing street performer for two songs. Asher was a big fan.
This guy had an assortment of instruments. He sat on a hard-sided suitcase that he rigged up as a "drum" and he also played harmonica. We was really talented with a great voice too.
Four short videos feature a cute baby laughing and running and watching a street musician.

How nice that you guys were able to raise enough money for all the girls!
Loved the video's, especially of him laughing and running. What a happy kid.
Ginko trees! they're all over DC and they stink.
Krissy! Thank you! The girls were THRILLED they raised over 1000$ but then we told them that almost all of that was what we NEEDED for camp, they were really astonished ;-)
Asher really is happy, we got so lucky there. He is busy, he is a MESS, and he is exhausting, but he is happy!
Shannon! YES! The female ones are terrrrible!
