On feeling good

It is important to feel... just REALLY GREAT from time to time. Yesterday, after we went to our friends' baby's birthday, I took Valerie to Kohl's. She came home with "Kohl's Cash" two weeks ago thanks to shopping from her Grandma Whitlow. I was not sure how these worked, but they expired today and since we do not shop at all on Sundays (unless we are out of town with visiting or travel or being naughty), I had to take her into Kohl's last night. I am a big fan of Kohl's Cash and would like some more.

I thought it was like Gymbucks- so she had $40, so I thought she had to spent $40 to get 40 off but then I called. Nope, it is like a gift card. I am all about Kohl's Cash. Valerie got this dress (that made her feel just... REALLY GREAT and yes, she will be wearing it with a bolero sweater... We have one in every color, it seems, wait till your daughters are teenagers, shopping is fun. Designers are not concerned with modesty). She also got a lovely summer baby-doll top. Big, BIG fan of Kohl's Cash and really grateful to her grandma for that special treat. That being said, I must say here. Valerie has "it" better than all the rest of us here because of the resources available to her from her dad and his parents. Sigh. I always joke that when Asher is old enough to realize it, he is going to pull a reverse on us and complain that his big sister is so spoiled. She is. It's true.

This shakey light-up key chain made Asher really happy. He kept saying "ooooooohhh" and running around with it. I like really bright, pretty lights too. In fact, I bought that keychain at the Baltimore Aquarium... when I used to be able to DO things on the weekends... for Valerie a few months before I met Matt, actually.

Anyway. Things are good, and sometimes they are REALLY GREAT and that is a blessing to us all.
