Today, well... I am just really grateful my birthday was on a Sunday this year. That means church. That takes up 5 hours on its own. The whole time, I was listening closely to those around me, feeling the spirit of those speaking, singing out praises to Heavenly Father and our Savior and spending time with people trying their best. That is a pretty good way to spend the day for sure.
After church, I made dinner with the random things I could find and made a judgement call to attend Valerie's swim team year-end party. I was taking pictures and thinking the whole time that soooooo many people might judge us for attending but it was free, there were snacks and for the first time this ENTIRE summer, we were all able to go to the pool (because it was free).
Asher was soooo happy in the pool!
Valerie was sort of melancholy then there was an announcement for playing Sharks and Minnows and she was all smiles and off into the pool. She went through all her awards and made a special memory box to house them. She loves swimming and recognizes the talent she has for the sport. It is so important as a teenager to realize those things.I had at least 50 happy birthday wishes on my Facebook wall today and I responded to each one. It took some time, but those individuals took some time first. I responded with something I love about all of them because I really do feel love for so many people.
I have a full schedule this week with my day starting at 8 and ending at 5 tomorrow. Welcome school year.

Happy Birthday Crystal! We're so proud of Valerie and her hard work to do well. Looks like Asher is going to be a fish - loves that water. What better birthday gifts than happy kids.
