Students!

The nursery was such a joy today. It really was wonderful to be around such adorable children

My cute baby is growing up, all his pudge is gone, but he DOES still have the cheeks

Behold, the man who straps his beer to the back of his moped...
I say this is the most-dangerous weekend of all in terms of students.  They are all here, but classes have not yet started.  It was funny tonight- there was a Microbiology meeting I had to attend and I saw a group of students walk by the closed doors and one-by-one, they all started peering in.  Freshman- freshman who thing a lab looks COOL! (and it does)

I took in a few pictures, kleenex and a few books for my shelves.  It really is becoming more of a comfy office.  I am really hoping for a great semester and praying for God to help me succeed.  It is definitely a job, but I really like this one and I would like to do a great job with it.

I learned to never, ever, EVER forward work email to gmail.  To my horror, I got an inkling that "something" was up with my email because I had so few messages yesterday and I checked my JMU mail proper and no kidding, 80 unread messages.  I could have died.  I had tears in my eyes realizing the Assistant to the Dept Chair had sent multiple messages, the last being "Please, please RESPOND!" GULP.  I groveled and apologized and she was nice about it, but still, that was rough.  I will not forward work mail to gmail, I will not forward work  mail to gmail...

Anyway, I am hoping for a restful night and a great day tomorrow.  I am also hoping for monetary miracles this next month.  We are in the homestretch, but it is still scary.

Love you all.  I really mean that.

IS this not perfect for packing in lunchboxes? I have been packing for Valerie for going on 10 years now (she went to preschool every day at age three).  I NEEEED this.

You will do great, because you care and you are very capable. Hang in there.
